Dr. Manish Gupta
Dr. Gupta, a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine & Joint Reconstruction, is a native of South Florida. His academic background has taken Dr. Gupta all over the state, from Coral Springs High School, to the University of Florida, and then to the University of Miami before completing his orthopedic surgery residency and sports medicine fellowship out of state (New Jersey and Maryland, respectively).
After moving back to South Florida to open the Sports & Orthopedic Center in Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Gupta was finally able to realize a childhood dream – bringing the feel of a small-town doctor’s office to his hometown big city. Dr. Gupta’s patient care philosophy is community-oriented, the importance of which is evident in his personal life as well. Dr. Gupta aspired to reconnect with the South Florida community, particularly with young athletes, as a lifetime athlete and Sports Medicine specialist himself. As one of Florida Atlantic University's team physicians and a sports/health tips commentator for Generation Nexxt, a local youth sports network, some might say Dr. Gupta has accomplished that.
Dr. Gupta is committed to enabling youth athletes to play it forward by instilling in them the values of leadership, character, and education and giving them skills that will keep them in the game for life.
Dr. Gupta can treat many different kinds of local athletes, from professionals to weekend warriors here in South Florida, as well as keep abreast of the latest technologies and most advanced treatment programs to offer his patients. Though he has a passion for sports, Dr. Gupta is a well-rounded orthopedic surgeon who helps treat patients of all ages, for fracture care, joint preservation surgery including hip surgery, as well as other treatment options, leaving patients mobile again. He treats everyone like he would a professional athlete, from all ranges and in all walks of life.
Joint preservation is an important part of Dr. Gupta’s practice. Dr. Gupta’s niche is in evaluating and treating sports-related injuries through arthroscopic techniques in the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. Additionally, he offers the newest techniques in knee replacements and is one of the few surgeons conducting minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacements and hip arthroscopy for the treatment of hip pain.
Currently affiliated with prominent national organizations that support his cause as well, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AAOSM), and the Florida Orthopedic Society.
